Just Hunting

[Continued]

Blackclaw purred. She mewed back "I'm no slug. I'm just a little shorter.". She often joked about her height, and such. She then raced after him, and reached the moors. They were amazing. Beautiful, graceful, and yet a dangerous place. She was often teased, as she could be spotted in the meadow quite clearly. She sighed, and padded up to Thornfrost. She then mewed "Well, lets hunt for some rabbit." She then thought and added I'm going to catch the biggest rabbit on the plains."

There was this old rabbit, that many of the warriors and apprentices try to catch, but it was old and wise with experience. It was also the biggest rabbit the Clan has ever seen. Ever.

"Are you now?" He asked the younger she-cat; his whiskers twitching in amusement. His tail brushed her shoulder as he looked around for any signs of anything, he spotted a smaller rabbit and purred. His muscles bunched as he took off, paws pounding the ground as he reached out and tripped the rabbit. As it stumbled he snapped the small beings neck and padded back to Blackclaw. "Poor thing, it was still so young." He said shooting her a coy smile.

Blackclaw twitched her tail in play agitation. She had saw Thronclaw kill the young rabbit. She then purred. She had gotten over it as fast as it had happened. She purred out "Nice catch." and brushed her tail over his shoulder. She then spotted a rabbit, medium sized (Proberley young adult.) and smoothly glided over, and nocked it down, and bit its neck in one swift bite. It died instantly. She purred in delight. It was bigger than Thornfrost's. She mewed "Bigger than yours, Thornfrost." and twitched her tail in delight.

The large white tom scoffed and cuffed her over the ears in a playful manner. "Well then, you still going to catch the biggest rabbit on the moors?" He teased, circleing her and purring, his tail lashed as he sat down. He licked on paw and swiped it over his ear, blue eyes glowing.

Blackclaw snorted. She mewe "I'm happy with MY catch. Wy woud I want to catch another, when I have this one?" and she started to trot back to camp. Then, all of the sudden, she stopped. She looked into Thornfrost eyes. She mewed shyley "I know this sin't the best time, but.. did you know Ive always loved you? I wish I wasn't deputy at times. Whenever I see you talking to another female, I get jealous. Very. And, it kills my heart." and she then RAN, as fast as she could, to camp, embarresed.

Thornfrost froze as she pelted off, he stared after the pretty she-cat in pure shock. His ears twitched as he picked up his catch and slowly followed, almost dragging his paws. He dropped the rabbit, burried it and turned back towards the moors. He padded along silently for a while, killing a few hares here and there. Her words echoed in his mind as he thought about what she had said, "I love her too." He mewed quietly.

Blackclaw burst into camp, and ran to the warriors den. She wanted some peaace. She had embarrsed herself. Badly. She felt stupid. She just knew that Thornfrost thought she was to young. Heck. If she could, she would resign from being deputy to be mates with him. She then had an idea. She would provoke another Clan to attack.. she thought devishly. Then, she would get hurt purposlly, but not killed. Just enought that she couldn't be deputy anymore. She nodded in approvel, but thought about how Thornfrost would feel about hat..she shook her head. She must. She must if she truly wanted Thornfrost.

Thornfrost slung his kills onto his back and padded into camp, he dropped his prey on the fresh-kill pile and looked around for the deputy. With a sigh he padded into the warriors den, avoiding Blackclaw's gaze and curling up in his nest. He pushed himself against the wall and closed his eyes, trying not to think of what she had said...

Blackclaw saw Thornfrost enter the den, and cower to the edge of the den. She sighed, and stood up. But, nstead of leaving, she padded over to him, and muzzled him. She said "Are you okey?". She sat down in the bed beside him, and cuddled to him. She then said "So..um..." and lay down beside him blankly.

Thornfrost lifted his head as she spoke and curled up against him, his ears twitched slightly. "I'm fine." He said coolly, almost acting as though nothing had happened. "You know..." He started. "You can have a mate, but not kits." He pointed out, his tail flicking back and forth, curling around her, then uncurling. Like a silent battle between his head and his heart. He stared at the small she-cat and rested his head on her back, but breifly. He tucked his paws neatly under his chest and watched her curiously, his mind and heart still raging in a silent battle.

"Really?" said Blackclaw. She then purred "I want you.." but she didn't know. She didn't know wether HE wanted her,or not. hfor sure wanted him but.. she mewed "Thornfrost, do YOU want me?" and looked into his handsome, gleaming blue eyes with a sadend, yet curious face.

Thornfrost locked onto her gaze and blinked twice. He wasn't sure how to anwser what at all. He looked down, flicked his tail and ears. "Yes." He mewed quietly.

[Iggy]

Blackclaw nodded. She knew she was making Thornfrost embarresed.. she stood up, after licking Thornfrost on the ear, and leaving the den. She went striaght to Silentstar's den. She mewed for Silentstar to request if she could enter.

[Kasumi]

The gray and white she-cat slowly opened her eyes. The mew that had awoken her was coming from out side the den. Silverstar could tell from the scent that it was her deputy Blackclaw. "May I help you Blackclaw?" she called from within the den.

Blackclaw entered. She sat down beside Silentstar and whined "Its about Thornfrost. I want him for a mate, but I don't know if he wants me.."
