Sandstorm padded her way through the sandy turf by the Ancient Oak, (right?), glancing back to see if their darkly colored leader was keeping up. She sat down, her tail whisking mischievously, as she rolled onto her back and batted at Crowstar with a purr, then leaping to her paws, "You wanna start here?"

Crowstar purred softly as her paws hit his face and rubbed his pelt against hers as she rolled over. "Might as well, Ancient Oak, eh?" He batted softly at her stomach, a smile glowing in his blue eyes. The dark tom lifted his head and looked around, eyes narrowed slightly as he looked for any signs of prey. He noticed a squirrel scampering around on a branch, he snorted. "Too bad I'm a bad climber..." He said with a mellow-dramatic pout.

Sandstorm padded up to the tree, her eyes wide as she studied the squirrel scampering along the branch, eating his nut calmly, unaware of two predators watching them. "You?" Sandstorm purred, prodding him in the side playfully , "I would have never known." before she leaped at the trunk of the tree, digging her claws in as she began a hopping sort of climb all the way up.

Crowstar put his front paws on the tree as she began climbing, "Be careful..." He called quietly watching her hop-climb the way up. He kept his muscles tense incase he needed to break a hard fall or climb up himself. Though he would probably get them both killed if he tried. His whiskers twitched as he thought of that, ears perked and blue eyes focused on her.

Sandstorm clawed her way to the branch with the squirrel atop of it, though instead of climbing onto the branch in question she silently moved to the branch directly across from it. She teetered to the side a bit, causing the squirrel to freeze, its beady little eyes darting around wildly. With her fluffy tail tucked to her side, she steadied herself, estimating the jumping distance before she took her shot...CRACK! A snapping sound could be heard, for it was a weaker branch, and Sandstorm, the squirrel and the branch came tumbling down onto the sandy ground right next to Crowstar.

The black tom yowled something and darted under Sandstorm, only breaking half of her fall. The tom stood up and looked rapidly over the sandy she-cat. "Sandstorm? Sandstorm!" He licked her ears and prodded her with his nose. "I'm so mouse-brained! Sandstorm?!" He crouched beow her and began licking her body frantically, not being able to tell how badly or if she was hurt.

A cloud of dust settled over the seen, and after several moments of Crowstar's licking did Sandstorm begin to sneeze violently as micro tiny beads of sand filtered through her nose. She gave a pitiful meow, but she stood up stiffly, her right shoulder throbbing and bleeding and a scratch on her lower stomach. She shook her fur out, though taking an extra moment or two to do it, then she blinked, looking at Crowstar with eyes of..rather embaressment perhaps? Humiliation? She flattened her ears a bit sheepishly, prodding at the squirrel, feeling ashamed she let him down. "I got the squirrel?" she murred, flicking her tail and shrugging as if to say, that's as much as I could get.

Crowstar pushed his pelt against her, "You mouse brain, what were you thinking leaping on such a small branch? Oh nevermind that, I should have never sent you up there." He licked her shoulde gently and looked at the blood, "Are you hurt? Can you move everything okay?"

Sandstorm winced a bit as he brushed against her shoulder, but she just tightened her jaw and tried to say nothing, "Oh stop worrying furball, it was my fault. No need to point...er, paws." she nudged him roughly to show she was okay, though still respectful of the leader, grimacing as she put weight on her right limb, but she wasn't ready to admit defeat, "Do you want to continue hunting?" she murmured, eyes bright but a bit sheepish, as if she hadn't just fallen out of a good few foot of tree.

Crowstar was nowhere as dense as he looked, he noticed her slight grimaces and her shifting weights. "Sandstorm, lets go. We have a squirrel and that will do for now. I'll send out another patroll later, come on." He said flicking his tail against her shoulder and padding a ways, picking up the squirrel and trotting towards the camp.

Sandstorm nodded, limping and shuffling after him, though her ears down as she couldn't complete her assignment.
