Sandstorm limped heavily into the sandy den of the warriors, her fur in tufts and her tail dragging behind her. Her sandy coat was even more dustier then usual, as she had just fallen out of a well sized tree to catch a squirrel, and she stretched out, wide awake, but she didn't want to go to the medicine cat's den for a scratch.

Crowstar, followed behind Sandstorm, ears flicking and blue eyes filled with worry. He sat down in the warriors den and watched her with a slightly cold gaze, this was his fault and now he wasn't sure what to do. "Sandstorm?"

Sandstorm shot up, her tail poofed out and her sandy fur extended to a length at the sudden voice. Her mind was so clouded by her stupid mistake by walking on the wrong branch that she had forgotten he had followed her. He was a good leader, and she was an extremely self-judging she cat, always putting herself down when she did wrong. Though she was an extremely playful, bubbly and excitable cat, often finding collections of stones and trinkets, she was hard on herself, "Yes, Crowstar?" she murred, her fur smoothed and her tail flicking from side to side, her head bowed, "I am sorry I disgraced you today." she mreowed her apology.

Crowstar hissed his annoynce. "You mouse-brain!" He snapped. "Every cat falls out of a tree once in a while, you have no reason to be sorry. And I don't want to hear that; 'I disgraced' you mouse-dung, go it?" He mewed harshly, his tail flicked her ears lightly. Crowstar was not to be taken lightly; though he was a laid back cat who'd rather be with the queens napping or watching the apprentices training; there was no way he was going to let one of his cats talk herself down for a mouse-brained mistake. Like a mother who's not always there; he gave praise when needed, love when not wanted, and to scold when needed. Those traits he learned from the queens.

"Harumph." came the muffled reply from Sandstorm, her ears a bit sideways and her tail twitching irritatingly from side to side, her eyes downcast. Though she found sense in his words, she was still a bit mad at herself. "Squirrel sound good for dinner?" she mewed, with a hint of amusement, her eyes shining.

Crowstar hissed good-naturedly and batted at her ears. "You furball, come on then." He said flicking his tail for her to come out, he picked out a vole and set to work devouring it. His blue eyes glimmered lightly as he waited for Sandstorm, he pulled out her squirrel and pushed it towards her with a sly smile. "This squirrel?" He asked through a mouthful of vole, he purred in laughter.

Sandstorm purred a reply, the sun glinting off of her sandy colored fur as she batted at his tail in response, taking the squirrel and settling down with it and she began to pick through the fur of it, quickly getting down to the subject of the matter.

Crowstar purred gently as he stood up and stretched out his alredy elongated body, making it seem much longer as the muscles decided to ripple and smooth under the silken coat. He took the last bite of the vole and looked towards the sky, the colors were slowly becoming brillant reds, yellows and oranges. They reflected in his blue eyes as he sat down and swiped his tongue around his jowls, tail flicking back and forth slowly.

Sandstorm stretched onto her side after having finished the squirrel and she dozed, purring, the wounds on her body a little bit stained with old blood and somewhat stiff as she tensed her muscles, hoping to relax them and she dozed with Crowstar.
