Appearance: He is pretty small for his age, only about the size of a 12-moon old apprentice. His average length fur is a mix of a sandy brown, light gray, flecks of black, and some bits of ginger. His eyes are a vibrant shade of golden orange. He has faded tabby markings and an off-white chin. His claws are razor sharp.
History: He was born in a small litter of two including himself and his brother Pinekit. They looked almost exactly alike except Birchkit was much bigger and his eyes were green. They had nearly completely different personalities, and did not get along well. Their parents did not pay much attention to them. Birchkit often made fun of him and was often taking advantage of being bigger. Birchkit also talked down on him and lowered his self esteem a lot. As a result, Russetclaw(back then Russetkit) grew to be a loner and more down on himself. On the other hand, he worked hard to gain the proper respect and to be the best. However, Birchkit drowned in a river a few moons before becoming an apprentice. As an apprentice, he was always hard working and striving to be the best. Even still, the other apprentices still underestimated them. Russetpaw was stubborn and refused to give up, more confident now that he wasn't as easily crushed. He is vengeful at times, and will never give up. Being underestimated makes him angrier and more fierce. Eventually, he grew to become deputy despite his young age and diminutive size.
